Since their 2015 release, Whatever Keeps You Standing, Petty Thief has welcomed three new members, played a bit of Texas shows, and have been quietly writing a new batch of songs. On Lost In The Haze, we see the band triggering more of their classic influences from bands like Dinosaur Jr, Failure, Nada Surf, and more. Petty Thief has been able to use these influences to improve the songs’ hooks and melodies, and still manages to carry over their authentic sound in melancholy vocals and fuzzy guitars, while also bringing a new perspective to the sound with the members’ history of playing in modern punk & hardcore bands. Lost In The Haze is an introspective and loud EP that will leave listeners dizzy from distorted noise and crashing drums.
